What is happening in the area is outrageous. I live around the city centre and it has felt like a post-apocalyptic town since lockdown began. Now that more and more businesses are reopening, it’s slowly becoming better, but some areas and Argyle St in particular look very grim right now because of this. There are junkies drinking, fighting, pissing everywhere.
I am mostly outraged because the council tax paid in the city centre is enormous and nothing is done to clean up the area from such dangers. Those people should have been given temporary accommodation somewhere else outside of the city and definitely not in the city centre. |
