| Comment | I wrote to my MP about this issue in the city centre as well. After lockdown the city centre was empty and homeless people, drug addicts and asylum seekers were housed in City centre hotels with no advice to city centre residents. As a result it became a fairly unsafe feeling type of place due to begging, groups of unsavoury types , etc.
I can't say the answer from the police was particularly enlightening but at least it had highlighted the issue to them. The more city centre residents that highlight this type of thing to them the better. We should be able to feel safe in and around the area where we live! |
