| Comment | I did my undergrad in Buffalo, New York. According to the uni brochure, the campus was in the “safe” part of town. What nobody told me was the cheapest dorm was adjacent to low income housing, which was prime gang territory. Every night around 2am I could hear at least a dozen gunshots. The gangbangers never directly threatened students, but you got the feeling the area wasn’t exactly safe. |
