| Comment | I'm so sorry this happened. I don't know whether this will help, but as a white woman in my 40s I also have learned to be wary of gangs of teenagers when I'm on my bike. I've had stuff thrown at me a few times on my commute home - from the pavement, as I'm on the road, or people jumping out at me for a laugh. I had an actual branch off a tree thrown at me once - it was only luck I avoided it (and wasn't hit by another vehicle in doing so). I can't say for sure of course that your situation was not a racist incident but I see a few other people here have had similar experiences too.
