| Comment | I'd recommend booking into a council operated MOT centre as they have no incentive to pick up on bits which are passable but some private garages might choose to fail you on to get some business out of you, as they generally are only testing centre and not repair shops.

Disclaimer: I'm not sure where or if there is such a centre in Glasgow, the last time I had a car was when I lived in Aberdeen but I got my MOT done there at one of the centres I described |
