| Comment | As an ex first employee there’s a lot of things that they do wrong but what’s the alternative in Glasgow? If it’s run by the council it’s all going to be the same staff that run it. I think most passengers presume that when a bus is late the driver is sitting about idle doing nothing when in actual fact they don’t have a clue what the last 4hrs of his journey has looked like. A lot of grievances that people have with First, the SPT deal with and is out of Firsts hands. Theres plenty of routes that don’t make first any money but they have to run them, any other industry would be able to cut ties with poor performing parts of the business. As for the state of the buses, it’s the customers on them that treat them like that nothing to do with First, do you think they want their buses covered in graffiti slash marks down the seats and treated like a bin? £500 it costs for a bus window which regularly get smashed. |
