| Comment | All our food waste bins have been taken away by the council. They sent us a generic leaflet last week saying that it's because either it's too dangerous to collect them, or because they are contaminated, or some bollocks like that. Now we are supposed to take food waste to the local tip. Right then. Thing is, one of the neighbours in our close is obsessed with bin issues and made sure nobody has been using them since collection was suspended at the start of lockdown. She must have got the memo through her inside sources. Anyway, I reckon the council were looking for any excuse to stop this service. The first of many council services suspended during lockdown that will never be restarted? |
