Comment	I've read the whole thread but still not sure I get it. But, if I'd paid a £90 deposit on a table & not spent £90 I wouldn't expect the restaurant to give me the difference back. I know the eat out to help out scheme makes it different, but I would probably say the problem is caused by the scheme. It really doesn't seem like a premeditated scam to me, as an ex restaurant manager. I mean, I don't know the owners there, maybe it was malicious. I don't know. I just would understand if they didn't pay people to eat at their restaurant.
