But otherwise, because I rarely drink, if I have a sandwich and a can of coke, and someone else had main dessert and 2 beers, obviously I am not going to pay for their lunch. And when I do that, and in a group I go mental, I make sure that I pay my part, I don't expect to offload my cost into others. That's just being a twat.
And it's not about being fun, it's knowing where that 50% is coming from. It's not coming from Boris. It's not coming from the restaurants, which as we are seeing in this post, they are using it to scam. It's coming from our pockets. No idea how old you are, but if you pay taxes and you see every month a good chunk of your salary going away, you understand what I mean. I am not against paying taxes btw, we should pay more. But it's also important to know where the money it's coming from - and that's us. |
