The dug gangs happened when there was a bitch in heat. Given the amount of loose dugs roaming the streets, that was pretty common.
I was brought up in Maryhill, but all my cousins lived in Easterhouse so I spent a lot of time there - it was like a different town entirely, and I suppose it was given the population.
