Yeah I would to be honest. Having such a near complete rail line is so incredibly valuable, and something other cities would kill for. That particular line was open for around 70 years until it was closed - the reason why? The rise of the private car, making hundreds of rail routes across the UK seemingly obselete. We need to make the most of the existing underused infrastructure. On balance it's exactly the sort of thing we should be doing to help build a world class urban transport network, so people don't need to get into their cars.
