| Comment | This was my first proper open water swim - I didn't wear a wetsuit and it was fine, but I wouldn't recommend it as I'm pretty cold now. It's just beyond Callander which has nice wee shops and dog friendly cafes.
If you haven't done it before, don't go alone, read up on it first and stick to places that have phone signal. I've been swimming up at Pinkston Watersports the last wee while to get used to it before trying a loch but its 100x better. I'd recommend doing that as swimming in a wetsuit feels different to normal swimming.
