| Comment | As you probably already know, there used to be two Soul Barber Room premises, one next door to Rioja and the other down across the road from the Brass Monkey and both were owned by a couple, Scott and Lisa. The premises next door to Rioja was always the busier one.
I won't go into the details of what happened, out of respect for Lisa, but they decided to go their separate ways in the summer of 2019 and Lisa remained in the premises next to Rioja, while Scott moved permanently into the one down the road. Lisa re-branded her barbershop, which is now known as the [Argyle Gents Club](https://www.instagram.com/theargylegentsclub/?igshid=rhygx9c1a301).
The other premises remained as Soul Barber Room and was still open right up until we went into lockdown. Even during lockdown when I was out my lunchbreak walk, I'd seen Scott doing some work to the shop (painting and decorating) so I assumed he'd be opening back up once the barbers were allowed to, but so far I've noticed that he's not. I do know that the sunbed place right next door has been getting some pretty extensive renovations done to it so perhaps he's waiting until that's completed before opening back up.
