I don't know if theres a bit of grey area if she has usually communicated through messenger and suddenly didn't. If they have proof they've tried to call her or contact her by other means then I'd say she's in some bother. But if they're "asking her to resign", rather than sacking her outright, then I would take that as a sign their position is weak and they know it.
