Balmaha is within the restricted zone of the Lomond and Trossachs Park like I mentioned earlier.
I've been wild camping too many times to count. Never had the police come near me because I get off the beaten path and stay well back from roads. For the police to give anybody bother when wild camping you're likely either in a restricted zone, too close to a road or causing nuisance to someone for a complaint to be made. The police are extremely unlikely to go hiking into forests, up hills and into the moors and glens. You've been caught roadside camping in a village that is a tourist hot spot. Quite right they moved you on. Hope you took your rubbish with you as well. |
