Some of my mates think it's naff. Some think it's traditional. Others are indifferent.
I'm Irish and think it's it's harmless Scottish cosplay.
Slightly related note: when I worked in a city centre bar and Scotland were playing, the groups of guys in kilts arriving for pre/post-match drinks were universally wankers.
