Aye it was pretty normal tbh. It's only when people talk about it like this that I realise how fucking mental it is. I don't think folk do it as much now, I'm thinking back 20+ year.
It was mostly just shite patter though, rather than a genuine attempt to see your baws. I remember being about 17/18 at a wedding and calling their bluff. Suddenly I was the bad cunt trying to flash Aunty Moira.
