* Brexit etc
1. Brexit is a UK event, everywhere will get hit.
1. There is traction for independence, but any ref is a good few years away never mind actual independence.
1. The pandemic is global and whilst there are infections in Glasgow, there is no local lockdown. Yet.
* Renting etc
1. All the usuals. Rightmove, Zoopla, Gumtree etc.
1. Make sure your landord is registered and is using a deposit scheme.
1. Check out [SIMD](https://simd.scot/2016/). Avoid the red zones.
* Public transport etc
1. It exists but buses are run (badly and expensively) by FirstGroup.
1. There are trains too and an underground.
* Other
1. Glasgow is one of the UK's major cities. Clubs, theatres etc abound. (Pandemic plays a part just now though).
1. The people are generally friendly.
1. The city is dirty and strewn with litter, but this does tend to be a problem all over the UK.
1. If you have never visited Glasgow, you should do so before moving.
1. Also check your right to work in the UK etc etc.
