Comment | A crack in a tenement building isn't exactly unusual, but I can see why someone would want it investigated if it's been worrying them.
You could ask the factor to commission another survey from a different company, with the focus on the issues that the original surveyor said were "essential" to try and determine whether or not they really are. Or at least get them to have someone look at the roof, if that was the main focus of the costs. |
