Unfortunately many tenements in the city have been neglected by owners who have been selling up and running from repairs and until recently there was nothing in the law to stop them. Now the likes of you and I are left holding the baby.
To look on the bright side, if you do get funding you'll get the place up to scratch for half price which will make the place much more attractive when you do come to sell, especially as more and more of these maintenance issues inevitably come to light in other buildings. |
