That's one thing that I particularly enjoy about Glasgow town centre. When people go shopping on Buchanan St, why do you see so many women dressed up in their finery to go round the shops, and why often accompanied by lads wearing a full matching tracksuit? Is it the ned equivalent of their Sunday best?
You don't get that particular sartorial approach in *any* other city I've been to in the UK, to the extent it's almost a meme at this point. |
