Know you’ve tried Gumtree and I had a similar prob with my recent house move getting rid of bulky furniture - gumtree wise are they up as freebies or for sale? I had stuff sitting for sale (v cheaply) with no takers but once I put them up for free they were gone fast (some things within an hour of posting). Not ideal but I managed to avoid the van hire scenario. Might be worth a shot.
My backup was the van hire but the other poster’s suggestion of a man and van may be the better solution if you’re totally stuck. |
