1.Never, ***EVER*** buy a dog from online. Those bare the sammers.
Do you research and pick a good breed. You may be able to convince a reduce to let you take on a smaller/older/lazier dog, especially if you have parks or something nearby.
Rescues looking for the perfect adopter rather that simply good enough seems to be a common problem.
