My point is that isn't 0.5% at all. And it'll be significantly be higher if we don't follow proper procedures.

It's low right now because we are following proper protocol for the most part. Look at America and Brazil with their climbing figures for proof what happens when you don't.

Shutting down places such as pubs where people get drunk and don't socially distance is a great start to stopping things re-escalating.
