I think another full lockdown is only going to happen if things get as bad or worse than they were at the very peak and even then I think there would be debate about it. I think it would be pretty hard for any politician to basically come out and say "yes we are now going to enter a nationwide depression that may well last half a generation or more". Which I think would be basically the consensus view of what would happen if there was another full lockdown. We don't even know quite how badly fucked we are from the first one yet. |
