It's incredibly hard to record the sound of another flat and accurately represent HOW loud, constant and irritating it is - I've tried to do it with the airbnb upstairs from me so I totally understand. (Imagine 8 Danish guys partying in a two bed flat above you for a week, and then it being 8 teenagers from Aberdeen kinda shite, over and over again.)
A complete noise diary is the way to go, including everything you've done to mitigate it like speaking to them is what the council need. They will send environmental health out if it's bad enough, but if it's general neighbour noise / result of the shit building materials in modern flats they might not do that. You're going to have to demonstrate that it's deliberate and out of order, rather than just as a result of the construction of the building. |
