| Comment | It’s not the best area but by far not the worst, maybe a ten minute walk to Queen Margaret Drive where there is a good pub and another five/ten minute walk to Byres Road and Ashton Lane which is fab and has everything- pubs, restaurants shops etc. My friend lives in Mayfield Street just near Ruchill park in the new builds and really likes it, your close to the big Tesco for your shopping too (five minute walk). Like everywhere in Glasgow there will be some ‘undesirables’ wombling about but in my experience that area is pretty fine. That being said I’m female and probably wouldn’t want to walk alone about there too late at night (but I wouldn’t want to anywhere really)
