I wouldn’t say many. I’d say some. A minority get over their addictions. And I never mentioned tourists that was the other commenter. By absolute devastation I’m referring to the stress they cause their parents, the heartbreak when they hurt them again and again, but mostly the way they can mess up their children’s lives though neglect, etc. And the cycle continues.
