| Comment | There’s a great Ted Talk by a chap called Johan Hari (sp) talking about similar rooms in Portugal and how addiction can be caused by a missing element in a persons life such as love. maybe the general view of ‘junkie scum’ has led to the drug problem gradually getting worse because it’s a infinitely downward spiralling circle of hate. (Public hating junkies, junkies hating themselves)
Maybe, and I truly hope this would be the case, That if these rooms existed and someone overdosed, the feeling of that person after being ‘saved’ would change the view of the user enough to want to encourage change in them self. |
