So you’ve given 3 examples there. I disagree that “their logic follows exactly from [my] statement”. I don’t even think they are the same as each other, never mind mine, and I’ll address them in turn.

Regarding executing serial killers - actively taking a life is not the same as allowing someone to die from lack of help. Maybe they’re similar, but there is a definite distinction.

The example of cognitive disability is interesting. It’s quite a wide and inclusive description, but for example in Alzheimer’s I think there is a definite argument to be made about quality of life vs keeping people alive vs euthanasia. I’m not saying it’s my argument, but it is a valid one which should be considered and I wouldn’t rush into saying I disagree with it out of hand. It merits much fuller discussion.

Your last example of feeding starving people is again quite a loose description. Generally starvation is a) not self inflicted and b) feeding is the quick and easy solution. I think comparisons to the situation a drug addict finds themselves in are weak at best.
