High Street would be *gone*, buried under the support pillars for the east side of the Glasgow Inner Ring Road.
But most shocking of all was the plan to level the city centre to create a new "planned city". All of the city centre's wonderful architecture torn down and replaced with the same style of buildings as in the New Towns. |
