Getting hung up on the statistics? Aka the facts. He can be as emotional as he likes, he's still wrong and he's misleading easy led people.

I understand the economical argument, but don't you see how it would be much worse for these businesses if cases keeps dramatically rising, deaths alongside with them and force us into another full lockdown? I feel like people aren't grasping the gravity of this situation. This could last years, and the more we tiptoe around measures which will actually improve the situation, the longer it'll last.

You're comparing education to pubs? Which one of these are actually necessary?

I agree with you that the flouting of social distancing and unnecessary office commuting is an issue which needs to be dealt with but this is a separate issue, and you're wrong about pubs following the rules and being the safest place to be. Have you forgotten what happened in Aberdeen already?

Home delivery services have shifted to contact less delivery, which makes them genuinely safe. As for your 'average sole trader' argument, I can't really speak to that as you've created the scenario in your head.
