Been thinking the same recently. Especially with covid. Seeing people going off their nut about not being able to drink as much is quite frightening. Is alcoholism that common and seen as normal here?

People getting angry at the government etc and it's just like.. no one's forcing people to go to the pub and to have house parties yet it's somehow the government's fault people can't put lives or common sense ahead of drink
