Yeah, so it's about reducing the spread of covid 19 which has killed over a million people worldwide and we have no vaccine for.

The schools being back is probably widely agreed as being one of the most important factors when it comes to keeping the economy going, and not fucking up a generations education.

The pubs having some restrictions on them to reduce the spread in these areas, like shutting earlier and limited group size.

Each extra thing that opens up, increases the risk.

So a bit like, if you have one drink before driving, you might be fine to drive, but if you have 3 drinks, that exponentially increases the risk.

Are you asking why the pubs can't open normally? As in we only have two options, open everything normally, or close everything?

Opening schools is vastly more important than opening pubs from 10pm to 12 and having big groups in there when they are open.

It's pretty simple really.
