As someone who used to live there...

Yeah 32 languages sounds about right and yes, there are quite a few artists there (they can't afford to live anywhere else).

Kebabish had finally reopened, but I've not been in after it got rebuilt.

There's the Transylvanian shop near Queens Park. New to me and only been in once, well stocked. There's various other Polish and Asian shops, plus a Lidl. Locavore for all your hippy, guilt free stuff. You should be able.to get anything you want.

You got a visa to work? Because you won't find legal work possible without it.

I always liked Govanhill. Dodgy as all fuck at times mind you, but it seems to be better than it was and being adjacent to Strathbungo means you have easy access to more gentrified entertainments. Well, you would of it wasn't for COVID.

Watch "Still Game" and "Chewin' the fat" on Netflix to try and tune your ear to the patter.
