| Comment | You don't need to be insured to drive someone else's car as a learner; it's the insurance of the person instructing you/the car owner that provides cover. The only time the learner needs to get insurance is when it's the learners own car (ie. name on the logbook), but your da can take you out in his car without you being insured or named (unless your da's insurance specifically excludes it). |
