| Comment | People's mentality is clearly a product of the profit driven society we live in, where the only avenue presented for us to be happy is to focus on one chasing consumerist desires, disregarding health, reason, the environment, other people, animals and even reason itself, because that's the only way we can feel like the 8hrs a day we spend in a soulless job is somehow worth it.
Tell me what's easier, convincing every one of the 5 million citizens of the nation to adhere to rules in shops, or forcing, a couple hundred at best, board members of companies to put into policies which actually keeps society and allow staff to enforce them, to instead of just letting each profit driven shareholder scramble to re-open as fast as possible because being closed or have limited footfall inside stores decreases sales and profits. |
