They've made 40 million pounds available. Sounds like a lot right? But Scotland has about 3,000 pubs and about 18,000 restaurants. You divide that up that's already less than two grand each for 16 days of massively or completely reduced revenue. Then the other newly locked down places need considerations: bingo halls, bowling alleys, snooker clubs, outdoor live events all got told to shut up shop today. But they said they'll get feedback to guid how it is spent, but that means some places will receive less than 2 grand for the others to receive more... . And when all that is said and done, if they are getting feedback etc how long will it take for the money to actually reach the bank accounts of those affected. They've been shut for a third of the year already, some can't wait weeks when the landlord and the energy provider and the food wholesale and the council all want their money.


I recognise it is not their fault, the Scottish government don't control the UK budget etc, but the money falls massively short of what they want to do, that's just a fact.
