Unless the virus is totally 100% extinguished from a given population, it'll return just as before once lockdown measures ease. That's what happened here, and everywhere else.
Even New Zealand, which claimed "zero Covid". Maybe effectively true. But even one lingering case can spread and within weeks you have a fresh outbreak.
