I get it, but there is the small matter of having to move all your stuff out (clothes, valuables etc) each time before letting.

You'll need to declare in income, let your mortgage provider and insurance company know. Possibly arrange a management agent as you may struggle to deal with emergencies etc whilst travelling.

Then you have the added risk of returning to an unliveable hell-hole after it gets trashed.

This is not a decision you should take lightly.

If it were me, I'd by a 1 bed in Strathbungo/Govanhill and *not* rent it out. You have good links to the stations, motorways, airports and some of the places are bargains.

**Note:** Buying *in* Govanhill requires fieldwork beforehand.
