At any rate you could limit people's seating time (a lot easier when you usee reservations like a restaurant does than cafes where you can sit all day), you could let restaurants run cafe style menus. Take Eusebi's Deli by Kelvingrove Park. A restaurant now shut but has a deli counter and could easily run as such but can't due to rush and ill thought out legislation.
You get notified via contact tracing apps for a 15 minute contact. So unless you limit time to below 15 minutes from queue joining to leaving then the risk is regarded as the same by our current system. |
