The default position is that the majority, and predominantly the young, need to make sacrifices to protect the minority but this isn't sustainable (and arguably isn't fair either but that's another debate). If the old want their pensions to keep dropping in they're going to need a functioning economy and rolling lockdowns are a sure fire way to kill it dead. |
