I think your friend has a very valid point which I hadn't thought about. It certainly is a different way of socialising and it would indeed force people to have a similar conversation. Which is more akin to a meeting than social gatherings. I have seen however, quizzes, jeopardy or wheel of. Fortune type games which do indeed work the same way as they would in person.
However. People are still allowed to exercise together. I. E ride bikes or go for a run, play football etc. So people can get out and have other interactions.
Also, you can still talk to people from the garden or windows etc. It certainly is not anywhere near the same.. But it certainly is different from isolation say in the hole or the shoe in prison. We have multiple stimulus available to our brains and so on.
It's a valid point. And I'm sorry about your other friend. I guess I was trying to highlight we do have it fairly decent compared to real isolation conditions. |
