Comment | Absolutely avoid Purplebricks! I had a terrible selling experience through them. I wish I had looked deeper into their reviews and not just trusted trustpilot. I was the same as you and happy to do my own viewings so thought what could go wrong well to name just a couple:- you have to pay an extra £300 (maybe more can’t remember exactly) to use any other solicitor than the one they recommend ‘your Conveyancer’ well they are just abysmal and almost lost my sale - too long a story to detail here but believe me they are awful - unprofessional and untrustworthy - took two weeks to get the for sale sign up - big deal considering I was on a busy street with three other properties for sale on our street - if viewers called the PB number instead of arranging through app details weren’t passed on (ended up having loads of ‘drop ins’ which was a bit of a nightmare!) Honestly I want to scream from the rooftops just how bad PB are - from what I can gather people either have a great experience or a terrible one. The problem is a terrible one could cause the sale of your property to fall through and just so so much stress! I liked the idea of knowing exactly what I was paying and the no commission thing but I regret it enormously (& I’m now in dispute of payment with them and going to ombudsman) Good luck and I’m sure you’ll find a great new home ( we finally got moved and now have a garden and I’m soooo grateful every day after moving from a tenement flat) |
