| Comment | One of the best cocktail places I’d been in recently was a place Weesht.
If you hadn’t been before it was themed on a speak-easy bar and when you booked the staff gave you a number to call and a ‘location’ to be at. When you got to the location you called the number and one of the barmen would come and get you. Inside there was enough space for around 8/9 tables and it was dimly lit with some soft jazz and soul playing.
They didn’t actually have a menu, just ingredients and the barmen would ask you what your tastes were and they’d make a cocktail based on the answers you gave. I got some whacky cocktails but also some great ones. One things for certain though, they did not skimp on the alcohol.
Unfortunately it’s no longer there. The guys who ran it only intended to have it open for something like three months but it proved so popular they kept it open for nearly a year until the pandemic hit. |
