Wasn’t sure how I felt about this - part of me thinks it’s a good thing giving people a safe place to inject and that it could save lives.

Legalising drugs would cut down on crime and misery as far as I’m aware having read up on the topic.

The other side of me thinks that the van is based in Parnie St in town (where the van is based) and there’s loads of residential homes there (tenements above the shops) and I don’t know how happy I’d be having people flocking to a street I lived on to inject drugs as it would create noise, an unsafe atmosphere and maybe increase crime? Especially as it’s not currently regulated.

It’s certainly a difficult topic.
