| Comment | I don’t have a car anymore - I did when I moved to Shawlands and then decided I didn’t need one.
There’s three stations nearby (Pollokshaws East, Shawlands and Newlands) and great bus routes in to the city (basically a straight road from Shawlands to Town). There’s also city bikes you can hire with a lot of locations for these dotted around Shawlands.
I don’t miss my car at all.
I walked to work pre-Covid and it was about 40 mins on foot one way from the heart of Shawlands to central station (I walk fast to be fair). I walked to the west end and back this weekend which wasn’t a chore either.
There’s always Ubers around as well. |
