As a night shift taxi driver, can confirm. Duke street and most of the streets south of Duke Street (Annfield and Bellfield areas) are drug deal hotspots.
(Bellgrove isn't actually an "official" area name by the way. Bellgrove station is the area that taxi drivers will call Annfield and the Bellgrove Hotel is in Bellfield).
