You asked me if I think any other political party could have handled it better - well surprisingly I don’t have an in-depth knowledge of the machinations of all the other political parties active in Scotland and how they would deal with specific aspects of the economy during a global pandemic the likes of which the world hasn’t witnessed in 100 years if they were in charge.
What can I tell you is what the SNP got wrong in this instance and why it happened.
We voted them in and they made a mistake that’s punished the lowest paid workers in Scotland and they should be held accountable and acknowledge they got it wrong.
If you don’t think politicians should be held accountable for their mistakes then you really need to asses your understating of the world - they work for us, they are accountable to us and when they get things wrong, we’re due an explanation as to why. |
