| Comment | Kelvinside and North Kelvinside were both large estates back in the day. In fact, the 'west end' started with the Kelvinsides. The boundary between the two is the massive old stone dyke wall that separates the high from the low. Many folk walk past it thinking it's just a retaining wall, but it was actually built as a result of some kind of petty access dispute between the two estate owners. |
